Job Description Composite Advantage designs and manufactures high-performance Fiber Reinforced Polymer composite products. We are a world leading supplier of FRP products for bridges, waterfront infrastructure and rail platforms – based on award winning technology and innovative designs.
We are currently seeking to hire a Welding Technician to work in our Dayton, OH manufacturing facility. This is a direct-hire position and is
full-time, 40 hours/week, second shift, Monday - Friday, OT as required .
Responsibilities for the ideal candidate include: - Mig and tig welding
- Cutting of steel using a cut-off saw and bandsaw
- Read blue prints and complete fabrication
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment
- Reliable attendance. Must be at work every day and on time
Qualifications: - 1 + years of experience in mig/tig welding
- Must be proficient in plasma cutting, band saw, drill preps, and oxy-acetylene
- Must be able to read a tape measure to the 16th
- Must be able to pass an onsite weld test
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Work will require standing most of the day
- Ability to read a tape measure and scale
- Previous experience working with composites, but not required
- Must be able to work around fiberglass and fumes from resins and paints (PPE will be provided)
- Must be able to follow written and verbal manufacturing instructions
- Must be able to work in a team environment
