SUMMARY

Responsible for reviewing, underwriting and rating producer submissions for new and renewal business. Assists in managing the client renewal process, including client renewal lists, renewal specifications and proposals. Works with staff and/or meets with clients to discuss financial strategies and renewal/marketing results.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs all aspects of underwriting assigned programs for program business;

• Provides analysis support to programs service team and/or program clients;

• Coordinates with retail support staff to provide analysis and insurance solutions as necessary;

• Manages client renewal lists; prepares renewal information and requests updates from retail offices;

• Prepares or may assist in preparing renewal specifications, submissions and proposals;

• Performs demographic analysis for new and renewal business;

• Creates and manages timelines for renewals;

• Develops and maintains data tracking, reporting processes for programs and underwriting models;

• Assists in developing and maintaining claims systems and processes for new and renewal business;

• Replies to incoming correspondence and independently responds as required;

• Maintains files and historical data on all programs; Oversees membership rosters and all database systems;

• Participates in underwriting and marketing visits, meetings, document discussions and follow-up as needed;

• May meet with retail brokers, clients, underwriters, account executives and retail benefits analysts for program and non-program business;

• Engages in optimal and appropriate usage of applicable agency management systems;

• Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

2 – 5 years experience in insurance underwriting or financial analysis and forecasting;

Knowledge of insurance marketplace, including industry rating system


SKILLS

Advanced knowledge of MS Excel

Working knowledge of MS Suite products

Ability to perform complex mathematical functions and processes

Excellent oral and written communication skills
