Seeking an experienced and highly competent Senior Level COBOL Software Engineer/Developer to work on Enhancement, New Development, & Production Support Projects for a mission critical Legacy Application (Vehicle Invoicing and Drafting, VI&D). Vehicle Invoicing and Drafting is a Mainframe/COBOL Legacy application; approx. 50+ years old with Online and Batch Programs. The ideal candidate is independent, very organized, with a keen sense of detail and a natural ability to develop solutions. Candidate performs superbly under pressure and can balance a number of disparate projects. The Software Engineer must deliver their project on time and with high quality, according to defined processes. Experience with Agile methodology is a must. Difficult situations and business partner conversations must be handled tactfully. Some experience in using advanced technologies (Java, SAP, etc.) is desired. Both the Business and the Team must like you, trust you, and feel comfortable around you.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:10+ years of advanced experience working on a complex Legacy ApplicationsCOBOL Expert. JCL. VSAM .DB2. IMS (Strong IMS - Online and Batch).IBM Utilities (file manager, IEB GENER). ENDEVOR.Superb documentation Skills.Strict Process Discipline with exposure to Agile Techniques.Strong ability to drive requirements gathering process with Business Partners.






EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:Experience with Agile Process and Rally.Experience in using Web based technologies with COBOLSome experience using advanced Technologies (including Java, SAP, etc.) is desired






EDUCATION REQUIRED:BA+ in Computer Science or related industry
