The Clinical Research Nurse will instruct, educate and counsel patients in research procedures and requirements. The Research Nurse will obtain consent, administer treatment procedures, monitor patients during procedures, and record data to be analyzed for research studies designed and supervised by M-CHORD investigators. The Research Nurse will maintain regulatory documents as mandated by the University of Michigan sponsor and FDA guidelines and will prepare and manage IRB submissions. The Research Nurse will also be responsible for tracking patient visits and working with other teams to reconcile study finances. The position will require the Research Nurse to attend investigator meetings as well as be available for scheduled monitor visits per the study protocol. Every Research Nurse is expected to manage five (5) or more clinical trials or studies.

M-CHORD (Michigan Congenital Heart Outcomes Research and Discovery Program) is a collaboration between individuals from different backgrounds and disciplines with a common interest in the patient with congenital heart disease. Location: Mott Children's Hospital, Clinical Research Pediatric Cardiology
This is a hybrid position with on-site work location to be at Mott Children's Hospital. A minimum of two (2) full in-person days are required, though more in-person days may be required over time . Time not worked on-site is expected to be filled as remote work.
All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
