What to Expect

The Quality Engineering Technician for the Stamping Shop is responsible for executing process audits and containment and providing fast feedback on critical process characteristics defined for the Stamping Shop Quality Engineers. These activities involve evaluating process variables in a periodic and proactive manner. The early detection of process variable trend changes allows the engineering team to predict the behavior for the Material's tensile test, Dimensional evaluation in the Stamping Inspection fixture, Class A Stamped parts surface evaluation, DMR trials parts hand-work, and fast feedback. The Technician's interaction and close communication with suppliers and stakeholders are instrumental in executing the process deep dive and initial enablers of the potential root causes, applying solid standardization principles to ensure a sustainable and permanent countermeasure.

What You'll Do

• Develop Stamping coils quality incoming validation (Tensile test, Thickness, surface, and dimensions)
• Revise dimensional trends in the CM4D portal
• Key process characteristics daily audits
• Provide support and acceptance criteria for A Class surface and part integrity line side issues
• New dies trial execution, follow-up, and documentation
• Monitor and audit scrap reduction strategies
• Train the IQT and production associates about the new quality control activities

What You'll Bring

• 2+ Years experience in the Body Shop operations, Quality related a plus
• MS Office and GD&T basic knowledge
• Data collection tracking and analysis skills
• Self-drive and proactive
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Expected Compensation

$30.50 - $44.84/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on individual factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
