Our work depends on Performance Tester joining our team remotely to support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Marketplace Assister Technical Support (MATS) Logical Follow-On Program. This program supports various initiatives of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) of 2010. Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
HOW A PERFORMANCE TESTER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT - Analyze site usage information and business input to create an overall workload profile.
- Perform hands-on scripting to simulate user actions.
- Design performance test scenarios to simulate the desired workload profile.
- Execute and monitor performance tests.
- Analyze performance test reports to identify application and infrastructure performance issues and bottlenecks.
- Work with developers and network engineers to resolve bottlenecks and to set up more advanced monitoring as need to analyze system performance.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED - Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of hands-on performance testing experience.
- Hands-on experience with Micro Focus/OpenText Performance Center (LoadRunner) and/or comparable enterprise performance testing and network monitoring solution, including experience analyzing site usage information and business input to create an overall workload profile.
- Hands-on scripting with C programming language or equivalent to simulate user actions.
- Hands-on experience with LoadRunner scripting in and Web Services protocol.
- Experience designing performance test scenarios to simulate the desired workload profile and then executing performance tests.
- Ability to view and understand real-time data and graphs displayed in Performance Center while tests are being executed to determine system health under load.
- Analyzing performance test reports to identify application and infrastructure performance issues and bottlenecks as well as assess and optimize network performance for maximum efficiency.
- Strong communication skills, to work with developers and network engineers to resolve bottlenecks, and to collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network operations and application performance with business objectives.
- Must have resided within the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years.
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Salesforce Administration experience
- Experience using JMeter
- Experience with proactive monitoring of enterprise environments using technologies, such as New Relic, AppDynamics, DynaTrace, and/or Splunk.
- Experience with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and/or health insurance/health care.

The likely salary range for this position is $119,000 - $161,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
