SPI Lighting, a leader in architectural lighting, is looking for a summer Mechanical Engineering Intern – To keep pace with advancements in LED technology and changes in architectural design, SPI Lighting has an opportunity for Mechanical Engineering student to join our Engineering team for the summer. Our team members feel ownership over projects and enjoy thinking through problems, not just on a computer, but on the work bench too. 

The intern will work closely with the Engineering teams at SPI to creatively help with projects of various complexity.  You will be involved in various aspects of the design process, which may include things such as concept development, feasibility studies, CAD modeling, Drafting, BOM creation, prototype construction, product testing, marketing support, and production ramp-up. We are proud to have all under one roof at our beautiful facility located in Mequon, WI, just twenty-five minutes from downtown Milwaukee.

We desire a candidate to be actively enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program. In addition to 3D CAD experience (Autodesk Inventor® is a plus,) the candidate should have strong mechanical aptitude and be knowledgeable in a variety of manufacturing processes.
