Job Description

This is a full-time position based in Brea, CA.

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible repair activities on machinery, equipment, and facilities in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. The incumbent will ensure that all equipment and machinery are maintained and repaired to minimize downtime and optimize production.

What You’ll be Responsible For in this Role :

  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities, including lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments.
  • Determine the cause and repairing or replacing defective parts as necessary.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including inspections, lubrication, and adjustments, in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Maintain and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as mechanical systems, such as gears, bearings, and shafts.
  • Fabricate, repair, or modify equipment parts, using welding, cutting, lathe, or milling machines.
  • Maintain up-to-date maintenance records, including work orders, logs, and maintenance reports.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Participate in training programs to improve technical skills and knowledge of new equipment and technology.
  • Assist in the installation, start-up, and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Monitor and order spare parts and supplies as necessary to ensure adequate inventory levels.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a technical school program or apprenticeship in maintenance or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and diagrams.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools, as well as machine shop equipment.
