AB Staffing is looking for a High Tech Aide that is available for the 2025/2026 school year.

Job Description:

• Location: San Marcos, CA
• Contract through the 2024/2025 school year OR for the 2025/2026 school year.
• Contract follows the academic district calendar - 37.5 to 40 hours per week.

Salary:

• $22.00-25.00 per hour

Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent; Associate degree or higher in a closely related field of study preferred.
• Ability to interact effectively with all staff and students' families 
• BLS/CPR Required
• Experience in a school environment and/or with special needs population preferred.
• Highly skilled in working with individuals with severe learning, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and/or other related disabilities.
• Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in an emergency situation and make independent decisions.
• Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability.
• Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Provide basic first aid and health care to students under the supervision of a school nurse or administrator.
• Assist in monitoring students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies), including helping with medication reminders or treatments.
• Support students with daily health needs such as feeding, toileting, or mobility assistance when applicable.
• Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student health concerns as directed by school nurse or administrator.
• Provide support during school health screenings (e.g., vision, hearing, scoliosis).
• Performs related work as required.
