Global Internal Communications Manager Location Morgan Hill, CA : Global Internal Communications Manager Does the opportunity to engage our teammates, build programs from scratch and own the process of creating world-class communications plans on a global scale excite you? We are searching for a Global Internal Communications Manager to develop communication strategies and deliverables that align with Specialized's Vision, Mission and strategic priorities. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this position will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and executing to an annual communication calendar as well as ad hoc messaging, executive communications and colleague engagement- ensuring that strategic initiatives across the organization are consistent, professional, clear, and understood, while also promoting our culture and teammate engagement. The position is a hybrid (blend of work from home and in office on a weekly basis) position, based at one of our global hubs. HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Develop and implement internal communications strategies that engage, inspire and connect teammates across the organization with Specialized's Vision, Mission and strategic priorities.
- Identify internal communications needs and build a roadmap of internal communications structure
- Establish regular company-wide communication cadence for the Executive Leadership Team; driving development of executive communications, including contributed content and presentations
- Ensure organizational changes, initiatives and projects are effectively communicated to teammates using appropriate channels
- Build and create awareness for Specialized's employer brand, and develop our voice on key issues affecting teammates
- Ensure internal communications messages are consistent throughout the organization and also aligned with external communication messages, in collaboration with our public relations team
- Optimize and manage internal communication channels (plan, edit, write content)
- Partner with our People and Culture team to further develop our onboarding materials to ensure new teammates are welcomed into Specialized's culture and understand our Vision, Mission and ways of working.
- Handle the internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organizational perception and reputation; aligned with external communication messages, in collaboration with our public relations team
- Develop systems and approaches for measuring performance of communications programs and bringing visibility across the organization to the work
WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN - Bachelor's degree (journalism, communications, public relations or marketing preferred) or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in an internal communications role, with demonstrated ability to build an internal communications function from scratch. Global experience preferred.
- Proven ability to influence and bring strategic communication plans to life across multiple global stakeholders
- Experience developing clear, concise and compelling executive communications that support business strategy and growth plans
- Skilled at building relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders, and ability to work well and influence across teams, functions, and levels.
- Excellent presentation, writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from teammates
- Strong technology skills, with proven ability to identify and utilize a variety of communication tools
- Strong interest in cycling and alignment with Specialized's purpose and mission.
Pay Below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in the following locations: California Base Pay Range: $105,000 -$148, 000 annually Colorado Base Pay Range: $101,903 -$135,000 annually At Specialized, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and will depend on your work experience, skills, certification, and location.
