About the Position:

Our client is looking for a dynamic Lead General Superintendent to manage and mentor others while leading large-scale, $100 million-plus projects. This role involves:

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Leadership: Partner effectively with project team members; direct subcontractors daily; anticipate the needs of the owner and proactively set up the project to achieve objectives.
• Mentorship: Mentor team members; ensure engagement and collaboration; provide learning opportunities for less experienced personnel.
• Cost Management: Establish plans, set goals, and sequence construction activities; ensure subcontractors' work is within scope; identify and track out-of-scope components and communicate with the Project Manager for resolution.
• Schedule & Quality Management: Partner with the project team to prepare a complete project schedule; manage onsite activities efficiently; notify subcontractors in advance and discuss daily plans of action.
• Brand Ambassador: Uphold the company’s positive reputation in the construction industry; illustrate values such as trust, honesty, fairness, integrity, compassion, and appreciation for team contributions.

Requirements:

• Experience: Previous oversight of commercial construction projects ranging from $85-150 million; healthcare project experience desired but not required.
• Organization: Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Leadership: Lead by example with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive Approach: Anticipate needs, take initiative, and proactively address issues.
• Tenacity: Ability to self-start, accomplish tasks, follow through, and meet deadlines.
• Tech Savvy: Quickly adapt to new computer programs and technologies to enhance construction management.
