Your Mission: To maintain data dashboards, visualizations, predictive models and algorithms used to improve outcomes. To perform statistical analysis to spot trends and diagnose issues, recognize improvement opportunities based on student, academic and district data. To apply statistical measurements to data, and review school and state data to develop comparison trends, and design and develop reports as requested. The Data Analyst is a full-yer position that is responsible for overseeing the Rhode Island Nurses Institute Middle College Charter High School (RINI) comprehensive strategy for managing and using student data. The Data Analyst analyzes and interprets assessment data as it relates to individual student achievement and school improvement. The Data Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate and confidential data files and will work to support data literacy training for teachers and administrators in the use of data to improve instruction. This position will also apply appropriate statistical measurements to data, review school and State data to develop comparison trends, and design and develop reports as requested. Manage PowerSchool Student Information System and its relevant applications as it relates to accountability metrics and state reporting. Collect and perform data entry tasks for all student data as required by the state and federal Department of Education (DOE). Provide additional data reporting and analysis as needed for external accountability, compliance, or development tasks. Design insightful reports, presentations and documentation to clearly communicate findings, recommendations, and data limitations to both technical and non-technical school and network leadership. Collaborate across teams to understand key questions and data needs in order to collect, compile, model and analyze relevant, high quality data that drives continuous improvement. Monitor data integrity through testing and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency. Build efficient and well-documented methods for efficient, repeatable collection, extraction and cleaning of primary and secondary data sources. Partner with school teams to support the school's assessment protocols. Verify the accuracy of all processed data, recognize discrepancies, and take corrective action in support of the school and court reporting requirements. Develops the data and evaluation support needed for strategic initiatives including expansion, replication and cross-school collaboration. Oversee staff execution of data entry to ensure the accuracy of tracking information that reflects school and program operations, key performance metrics, and outcome data. Lead the technical aspects of survey administration. Create and continuously improve a comprehensive strategy for collecting, managing, and using data. Manage the student information system, PowerSchool, and other databases by implementing clear protocols to ensure data quality and integrity. Develop, maintain, and disseminate role-specific training for all staff members on PowerSchool and utilization of data systems, tools, and reports. Reviews system-level data in PowerSchool, as well as output of reports - particularly those with fiscal implications - for errors and consistency prior to submission. Provide reports to School Leadership and the Board of Directors to assist in the establishment of school improvement targets related to the school-wide plan. Collaborate with School Leaders in the establishment and facilitation of attendance through a systematic, continuous improvement framework. Lead the design, development, and management of reports and dashboard solutions to ensure that staff at all levels of the organization have the information needed to make informed decisions. Optimize database systems and serve as the point of contact with 3rd party database vendors regarding development and technical support. The RI Nurses Institute Middle College Charter High School (RINI), located in Providence, Rhode Island was founded by the nursing profession in 2011 as a solution to increase diversity of underrepresented racial and ethnic groups in the nursing workforce. This unique model serves students in grades 9-12 in a fully immersed nursing college and career pathway program, NCCPP high school curriculum. RINI graduates earn a high school diploma, workforce certificates, and college credits that transfer to a post-secondary degree in nursing or other advanced healthcare provider degree program.
