Job Description

Position Overview: The Project Manager is responsible for the successful management of construction projects from start to finish, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, quality control, and reporting. This position requires strong leadership abilities, technical aptitude, and the ability to work successfully with various stakeholders including contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and codes
  • Develop and manage project budgets and track actual costs against budget
  • Negotiate project contracts with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
  • Ensure that all required permits and approvals are obtained in a timely manner
  • Manage all phases of construction execution and completion
  • Conduct weekly meetings to review progress and address any issues
  • Prepare regular project status reports and present to senior management
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to contractors, subcontractors, and other personnel

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management, with experience in areas such as paving, underground utilities, landscaping, irrigation, and K-12/community college construction
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, and other relevant software
