Position: Chemical Production Assistant/Associate

Key Responsibilities:

As part of our team, you will wear multiple hats depending on the need of the hour. The tasks listed below are just the starting point, the combined roles below will be split as we grow. This position has plenty of opportunities for professional growth and personal fulfillment.

Nanocomposite Slurry Production: The primary responsibility of this position is to produce the nanocomposite slurry formulation and to assist in all manners of production. This will range from synthesis to cleaning of production space.

Quality Assurance: Maintain strict quality control measures to uphold the excellence of our nanocomposite products.

Secondary responsibilities may include:

• Nanocomposite Development: Collaborate in the development and production of nanotechnology based solutions designed to extract contaminants from water, contributing to eco-friendly solutions.
• Custom Solution Development: Participate in joint development projects to tailor technology solutions that align with the unique needs of various industries.
• Data Analysis: Analyze research data, generate reports, and contribute insights that drive innovation in nanocomposite technology.
• Laboratory Operations: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring precision and safety in all experiments and processes.

Desired Characteristics/skills of the candidate: Smart, detail oriented, adaptable, self-starter with a ‘Can-do’ attitude. We understand this is a multifaceted job and you will not know all aspects of your job. Our expectation is for you to do research and seek assistance/guidance from your colleagues as needed to grow into this role. Excellent written/verbal communications skills a must.

Education/Experience: B.S (preferred major Physical science/engineering). 1-2 years of experience working in a Lab setting required. Experience in solution-based chemistry/synthesis is a plus.

Location & Timings: Evanston, IL. Monday through Friday 8 hours per day, flexible schedule. This position is onsite.

MSDS: You will be handling primarily non-hazardous/non-toxic substances. However, working with various reagents requires careful handling of the lab equipment.
