Job Description

Position Overview:

An Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in overseeing and managing construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and experience in commercial, municipal, and real estate construction. They should also possess excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager in developing project plans, timelines, and budgets
• Coordinate and communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and subcontractors
• Keep track of project progress and report updates to the Project Manager
• Oversee project documentation, including contracts, invoices, and change orders
• Manage project resources and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations
• Identify and resolve any issues or delays in project execution
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and quality
• Assist in managing project finances, including budget tracking and cost control
• Prepare and present project status reports to the Project Manager and clients

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
• Experience in commercial, municipal, and real estate construction projects
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficient in project management software and tools
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
• Experience in medical centers, hospitals, or K-12 construction (nice to have)
